The Bride & Groom

Jennifer Lee hails from the great Midwestern state of Michigan; but was raised in Littleton, Colorado; Barry was born in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and spent his formative (ahem) years in Chantilly, Virginia.

What brought these two together?  The beautiful state of Colorado and a bit of kismet, that’s what!

Barry & Jen share the same corny humor (totally true); are completely loyal to their friends & families (also true) and share a mutual passion for sky-diving & demolition derby (totally NOT true).  Jen is an avid runner & Barry is a die-hard golfer; they both enjoy entertaining their friends and family (Jen cooks & Barry makes the cocktails).

Zoe and Scout are their adorable German Shorthair pups; they are very well behaved – never jumping over fences or chasing rabbits.

Barry & Jen are incredibly excited for this next step in their life’s journey together as husband & wife and are thrilled to be sharing it with all of you.

Matron of Honor

Lissa Hodges is the baby sibling of Jen  (their brother John being the middle-child).  She is married to the super cool & super tall Chad Hodges.  They have two adorable sons (Max & Charlie) and live in Arvada, Colorado.

Jen considers Lissa one of her closest friends & credits her for inspiring her to accomplish her goals with support & encouraging words. Jen & Barry enjoy hanging out with Lissa & her family as well as her brother John and his wife Melinda and their two children (Jack & Owen), at every opportunity.

 

Best Man

David  Gesell is Barry’s older brother (Barry is the youngest of four siblings), following their older sister Laurie and late brother Randy. Their parents (Bill and Susan) are from New York, but the kids were raised in Northern Virginia for most of their childhood. David still lives in the Northern Virginia area with his wife, the “Original Jennifer Gesell.” (David points out that he has to say that because there is bound to be some confusion about which Jennifer Gesell is married to which brother).

David & Jennifer have two beautiful daughters, Emma and Charlotte.   David says, ” We are so very happy for Barry and delighted to welcome Jen#2 to the family”.

The Gesell family also includes Randy’s wife Mirazel and her daughter Erika. They live only a few miles from David & his family. The girls are all within several years of each other and are like sisters. Just as Randy wanted.

Barry’s sister Laurie is also married, to author Tj O’Connor. Most of their clan will be at the wedding.
